Education/Degree Bachelor of Arts in Outdoor Leadership with a minor in Bible and Theology At Simpson University in Redding, California. I have also completed 6 credits of Early Childhood Development classes. Child Care Experience In my teenage years I started to Nanny for multiple families. I continued to nanny until I enrolled in college where I found my passion to teach in Early Childhood Education. Throughout my four years in college, I worked for two different youth camps. I absolutely loved planning activities, engaging in social-emotional development, and developing long-lasting connections. Once I graduated, I started a job as a Teacher's Assistant in a private Montessori school and loved my time there. However, an opportunity presented itself and my husband and I decided to accept a job and move to Minnesota where I grew up. Within two weeks moving, I started as a full time staff member at Holy Nativity as a Preschool Teacher and have loved my time here so far. SHORT Personal History I was born and raised in the small town of Moose Lake, Minnesota where my love for the outdoors, family, and Jesus developed. I was homeschooled for most of my life, which made it easier to start nannying at such a young age. For most of my life, I battled a chronic illness that nearly took my life. I am happy to say that I am now 5 years free from the disease that once overtook my body. Since overcoming my chronic illness, I have graduated with a bachelor's degree, received multiple certifications in first aid training, and got married. I am now living in Minnetonka, Minnesota where I hope to grow in my workplace, relationship with the Lord, and my passion to impact others. Hobbies My hobbies include but are not limited to: running my side photography business, hiking, camping, skiing, exercising, healthy/toxic free living, spending time with family, and being creative. Why You Like Working at HNCCCC: I love working with such a caring group of individuals. It has been such a blessing to connect with parents and invest in the lives of their children. I love having the ability to be creative with lesson plans as well as caring for each child's individual needs. HNCCCC is a place that I am free to utilize my skills as well as strengthen and develop my professional experience.
